Here is what I have Dreamed Up

* The 3-way light switch from any outlet

Need - How is it no one has thought of this? Every night we go to bed and have to turn on the room light from the wall switch and would like to turn off the light at the lamp but there is no way to do that and have the lamp able to be turned on again at the wall switch.

The Fix - A small interface box that the lamp plugs into and another that plugs into the wall switch controlled outlet. The wall switch will work like a three way switch turning the lamp on or off from either position in addition to the lamp box switch which will do the same. I have a prototype both a wired and wireless version.

The cost - An under $20 retail item.

The draw - How could you live without it after having one or just knowing it exists. The consumer will want one for each bedroom.

* Night driving, Headlight Glare Removal System

The Need - Most people who don't drive at night don't because of the blinding effect of the glare from on coming headlights. They are afraid of hitting something they don't see.

The Fix - I have designed a system to completely, yes completely, eliminate glare from on coming headlights. I have tried this and it works 100% and even though I drive at night this greatly improves my night vision.

The Cost - An under $50 item retail.

The Draw - No one will be afraid to drive at night, you can even use your high beams and they will bother no one with this system. I suspect it will become a law to have this system incorporated into each new car.

* Fuel Safe -

The Need - How could we ever forget 9-11? Jet planes being used as weapons of mass destructions (I hate those words). What if there had been no fire as a result of the crashes or just a little manageable fire?

The Fix - I can turn jet fuel into a nonflammable substance while it is held in a fuel tank. If it were to break out it would even put out a fire if poured on one. I can convert it back to regular fuel at any point before it enters the engine. The system is not expensive, uses environmentally friendly substances and can be put in old or new installations.

The Cost - I haven't worked this up, but it is not prohibitive.

The Draw - I think this one speaks for itself. Planes crash and there would be no fires. The only thing I could do better would be to invent something that would not let planes crash.....hmmmmm.

* Cogenerating Solar Panel for commercial use

The Need - We all have to cut back on our use of exhaustible polluting fuel systems and replace them with unlimited power directly delivered from the sun, our main source of energy.

The Fix - Take several well thought out solar collecting systems and combine them to produce electric and heat at the same time.

The Cost - No more than existing systems but you get dual technology for the price of one and cut the payback in half.

The Draw - We have had the technology, with the high prices of regular fossil energy now we are finally heading in the right direction to use it. When the up front costs of replacement systems are quickly paid back by avoided energy costs these systems will pay for themselves. Current photovoltaic systems are boasting eight year payback's this will be half as long.

* Roof Heat/Cool

The Need - That black roof sure is good in the winter when you need extra heat but that white roof sure is nice to have in the summer to reflect all that heat. Which color do we install?

The Fix - What if one roof did both, it was dark absorbing in winter and light reflective in summer. Yep we can do that now, why aren't we. No one has thought of this. Lets get this one going!!

The Cost - You can paint it on or buy the roof singles with it impregnated into them. We just need to make it available and people will buy our products.

The Draw - You will save energy all year around with this passive system that will cut heating bills and lower cooling costs. it works for commercial as well as residential.

* Conical Variable speed/torque computer driven transmission

The Need - Power is needlessly wasted running engines at less than optimal speeds where they reach their highest efficiency. What if the transmission was completely variable and ran your engine at the best speed all the time to get you the best mileage costs.

The Fix - You need a completely variable transmission. My idea creates a variable torque variable speed transmission that is computer coupled to your engine, gas pedal to offer optimum performance from smaller engines, gas or electric to make them operate like large ones with maximum power transfer at the highest efficiency.

The Cost - The cost will be less than a standard transmission but tooling up for it etc will cause a minor bump in prices until it is widely accepted.

The Draw - Everyone will use it. It saves energy and increases performance. It will even lend itself to power recovery from dynamic braking and accomplish that easier and better.

* Electric Cure

The Need - Lets face it everyone gets sick/hurt and the way we fix ourselves is very backwards now. Some animals can regenerate entire parts if they are cut off, we can't. But could we?

The Fix - The way I see it, the body works on electric. Place your two hands on two metal sensing plates tied through an interface box and send the signals to a computer. With the right software one should be able to see every organ/cell in your body and see if it is working correctly. If is it not operating correctly one should be able to send that correction signal to fix the problem.

The Cost - $500 million for the first. Additional units $5,000.

The Draw - Do you want to say sick/disabled/blind? Of course not. The body can be reprogrammed to fix itself; no drugs, no surgery; just put your hands on the plates and let the system reprogram you.
